what is lighthouse foundation?
The Lighthouse Foundation is a non-profit organization that consists of community leaders and advocates for children with special needs. The foundation's goal is to improve the quality of life of for the children as well as their caregivers.
Our purpose:
The purpose of Lighthouse Foundation is to provide scholarships to under privileged children in Kershaw County and surrounding communities for needed therapeutic services and equipment not covered by insurance. Lighthouse Foundation also seeks to provide a recreational outlet for children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in organized sports and activities.
The Lighthouse Foundation’s goal is to raise awareness and money to create opportunities for children to improve their ability to communicate, navigate, and explore their daily environments while providing experiences that allow these children to learn carryover and maintenance strategies for retention of learned skills. Who do we help?
Lighthouse Foundation assists children with health care and other special needs who reside in Kershaw county and surrounding areas with equipment and support to their families and caregivers.
